Ferrari 308 is generally known as an Italian sports car that's
considered to have a gigantic boost of power compared to Ferrari 328.
Made outside of Modena and Maranello, the Ferrari Company was set up by
Enzo Ferrari in 1929. The 308 is considered to be as one of the
fascinating cars to drive and own in the 1970's, offering tiny status
for fan drivers and more on free trouble ownership. It easily became
one of the meat and potatoes cars in the market for the Ferrari Company
during its time. Initially the 308 was made from fiber glass, and was
later switched to metal construction in 1977. Today, the fiber glass
models are in serious demand because of their lightness which brings
faster speed. Also the engines of the 308 aren't truly affected by the
sapping of power brought by the exhaust due to their metal construction.
There are actually 2 kinds of Ferrari 308. The Ferrari GTB and
the GTS, each with their own unusual features but still has the same 308
basic features. The 308 GTB is in possession of V8 from the
recently-launched 308 GT4, this came to be known as Ferrari's first ever
fiberglass car. In actual fact it took the company less than two years
and 712 auto constructions before the 1st 308 was born. The 308's
renown grew terribly fast and its demand became terribly high due to its
reasonable price and lightness, it was also extraordinarily cheaper and
much quicker to reproduce. The number 30 stands for the engine
size of the auto. To be more definite it was actually 2926cc or 2.926
liters, and was then rounded. The number eight stands for the scale of
the cylinder, so if combined together, the number 308 is made that means
the Ferrari 308 has a 3 liter capacity with V8 engine.
